SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K K

UTG raises to 3 BB, fold, Hero raises to 9 BB, fold, fold, fold, UTG calls 6 BB

Flop: (19.5 BB, 2 players) A A T
UTG checks, Hero checks

Turn: (19.5 BB, 2 players) 8
UTG bets 9.3 BB, Hero calls 9.3 BB

River: (38.1 BB, 2 players) A
UTG bets 36.38 BB, Hero ???

I felt there was a really strong chance he held the other A given he gave a PSB on the river but QQ & JJ may also bet big here.

Have I always got to call here v an unknown? Enough bluffs / worse VB that I'm beating?

I guess he may have 2 combos of AK, 4 AQ, 4 AJ, that's beating me and 1 KK, 6 QQ & 6 JJ that I'm beating. So getting 2/1 its probably a call? Or do you only think this would be an Ace.

Easy call

quads ofc make sense given his line but he doesnt need to be up to something very often, call is still profitable.

more inclined to call vs unknown than known

I don't think villain plays JJ this way but maybe TT and 88 as a bluff? I guess JJ could try and bluff here as well not sure. I agree QQ and the tying KK could potentially take this line.

Can't imagine too many other hands like TX or whatever villain could try and bet here. Still calling for sure.

Good point. I think 88 and TT are more likely to play at their (perceived) SD value though, and check. Overplaying boats is common enough

Hero calls

since the opponent is unkown i dunno if i should sigh call or call pretty happily, but overall in a vacuum i cant see myself folding. Tho maybe u should consider range betting 25-40% pot or smth OTF to protect urself from getting boatmined and leaving ur range uncapped, but shouldnt be that big of a deal.

Never folding. Prove it ****face.

I would fold. I dont expect an unknown player converting his SD value hand in to a bluff in a dry flop/turn. To a call you should consider him valuebetting a T? Also when you have a plenty of A not cbetting in this flop and slowplaying.
