UTG+1 ($33.50)
Hero (CO) ($100.00)
BTN ($142.43)
SB ($187.19)

Pre-flop: ($1.50, 6 players) Hero is CO 8 8
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $1, Hero raises to $4, BTN calls $4, 1 fold, BB calls $3, UTG+1 calls $3

Flop: 3 A 9 ($16.50, 4 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $11, BTN calls $11, BB folds, UTG+1 folds

Turn: 2 ($38.50, 2 players)
Hero bets $20, BTN calls $20

River: 4 ($78.50, 2 players)
Hero bets $65

The reason the turn bet is slightly on the small side is because I wanted to have enough behind to fire a sizeable 3rd barrel should I need to. However I think this may be a mistake because the turn bet is possibly too small for me to convince Villain that I have an Ace because an Ace may want to bet more to shut down flush draw odds (although I still didn't offer favourable pot odds for a flush draw).

if you put villian on a flushdraw, then check/call the river, you have sd value

but his most likely hand is an A, which i doubt he will fold. so i think its terrible.

i think he folds AJ AQ here so i think the 3rd barrel might be ok.

yes, dont like.. ur turn and river bet sizing are not consistent imo.

What are your stats and how is villain likely to view you? If this is your first hand vs this villain then I guess it is ok, but the river looks kinda bluffy since the 4 card straight is out there and you still barrel pretty big. I think you will get a fold out of a 9 or any other non ace hand but are getting called by pretty much any ace. I make this play alot too as more of a blocker to not get bluffed by missed flush draw, but would probably bet closer to half pot on the river.

Hate every street post flop

Don't like it without reads.
I usually just give up on the flop 4-way.

I don't like, but if I bet flop, then I think 3barreling is mandatory. I bet bigger on turn though, and @ 100bb, it is a little shady to make someone try and fold toppest pair

Whenever I take this line for value they call w/ Ax, pretty much all of them. So I dont like it at all. I usually dont bluff the way this board came off, you are repping a VERY narrow range (and enticing bluffraises too I think)

No.

Top of villains range is AQ (occassionally AK), and the bottom of his range isn't much worse... i.e. probably AT (as well as missed spades which not many players are going to bluff with anyway if you check the river)

...as others have stated, I dont think he's going to fold often enough to make the triple barrel worthwhile... So with that in mind, c/f flop, or failing that, c/f turn imo.
Triple barrel would be better if you were deeper.

c/f flop.

With UTG+1 limper, Btn could reasonably call with Ax. After you get called on the flop, what does he fold on the turn?

If you decide to 3 barrell, turn bet needs to be bigger.

bet bigger on turn if youre gonna 3barrel /the river bet looks like a busted FD as you have played it../
but again, i would actually just give it up on the flop .. 4ppl action

Betting this flop in a 4way pot is terribad.
