Yeah sorry new to forum but i didn't mean to post a bad beat/cooler hand. I'm just always in this position and i want to know what is the best plan of action. I thought that the all-in river bet was a desperate attempt to win the pot becuase he did raise of the button and i was in the big blind. Or a rag ace. Ill post what he had later and tell if i won or lost this hand.

re-read HH.

1. Raise more preflop. make it 2.5-3
2. On the flop, your bet is waaaay to small. you need to pet at least half-pot here. I'd probably bet $3 into the 4.10 pot. now if he raises you, you are playing for stacks and are happy to get it all-in.
3. On the river, you have a very strong hand, and you are getting great odds to call. He has a bunch of worse Aces and missed flush draws in his range. if he has you beat, he has you beat, and you move on to the next hand.

Ok thanks he also could have had QJ and seeing that another ace fell on the river made him think it was less likely that i had an ace. Thats what i was thinking he thought ahha thats y he went all in or a rag ace so i called with pot odds. Well he had ACE QUEEN and took the pot down with a full house. Unlucky i would think but i should have raised a lot more preflop and post flop.
