Can we fold Aces here? Can we fold Aces here?

07-18-2008 , 10:01 AM
Here's a couple of previous hands during the session:

Hand 1:

At this point villain is 20/15/1.83 (169 hands)

Full Tilt Poker $1/$2 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

MP: $252.70
CO: $58.70
Hero (BTN): $370.85
SB: $255.00
BB: $246.50
UTG: $269.25

Pre Flop: Hero is BTN with 8 8
2 folds, CO calls $2, Hero raises to $9, 1 fold, BB raises to $30, 1 fold, Hero calls $21

Flop: ($63.00) 6 4 Q (2 players)
BB bets $46, Hero calls $46

Turn: ($155.00) J (2 players)
BB bets $170.50 all in, Hero folds

Hand 2:

He's on the BTN - UTG called, MP (me) called, He min-raises!
FLOP: [654] It's checked around
TURN: [9] I bet in MP, he calls
[8] I bet again and he folds

Hand 3:

Villain is now 20/16/2.67 (188 hands)

Full Tilt Poker $1/$2 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

BTN: $263.05
SB: $96.80
Hero (BB): $310.70
UTG: $53.00
MP: $284.50
CO: $276.40

Pre Flop: Hero is BB with A A
1 fold, MP raises to $7, 3 folds, Hero raises to $27, MP calls $20

Flop: ($55.00) 2 K Q (2 players)
Hero bets $34, MP raises to $90, Hero?

Can we fold Aces here? Was his min-raise in hand 2 just a misclick?

hand 1: don't like the call pf bc you're essentially set mining against a 20/15/1.83 villain. as played though, i flop flop bc i don't flop a set and def fold turn.

hand 2: first, his raise was not a minraise. second, in a 3bet pot with AA here, shoving is a no brainer IMO.

We only beat TJ and AK and we're 140bb deep so I'm not so sure

We only loose to QK, rarely QQ, very rarely KK, and 22 one in a houndred years.

(That's just the otherside).

I think he 4bets AK this deep at least sometimes, so we can discount it a bit.
He should fold KQ preflop a good % of the time.
He should fold 22 near always.
He 4 bets KK/QQ most likely.

So it's really tough to put him a range.
Because of this, that his range is SOOO narrow, i'd always shove this.

Hand 1 is spew-tacular all around. Fold everywhere.

The problem is that we don't see what villain is showing down, which is more important than the hands you provide.

I at least see the turn... most likely still going with the hand.

i think I check/call the flop playing it more of a bluff catcher.

Hand 1: 58.097% 57.93% 00.17% 16057 47.50 { KK-QQ, 22, AKs, KQs, JTs, AKo, KQo }

Easily enough money in the pot to make shoving profitable. I know villain doesn't always raise JTs here, but villain will also 4bet pre a lot with KK.

hand 1: fold pf
hand 3: i think it's a fold

QQ, KK and QK = 3 + 3 + 9 = 15 combo's
AK = 6 combo's

lol @ folding hand 3. That would be god awful.

Not to knock on you and I know you're not posting this, but I fold the flop in hand 1 if not even before the flop. Not a big fan of hand 2 either, but if you bet turn, betting river is a good plan.

Anyways, on hand 3, I call the flop, c/c turn. He's very likely folding to a c/r given his stats, he doesn't look like a huge fish. I think he goes on and on with his betting on the river, we might could fold. Do you have any other better reads?

EDIT: Hand 3 is 3bet pot. Shove ldo. AK (which he'll have ALOT) and sometimes even AQ snap. If he shows you KQ so be it.

This is not a good flop for him to bluffraise because it hits our range very hard. I still probably call and get it in on turn. If he has KQ you still have outs for better 2 pair.

He's not bluffraising, I agree. He probably has AK here like 75% of the time.
