I think this is spewy... Although this hand is good to 3bet in position against a loose opener, it does poorly out of position as the BTN can easily flat your 3bet and see a flop, and he's going to do it with the top of his range that doesn't want to get all in pre flop. Against that range your weak ace does really poorly. It's better to 3bet hands like AQ and AJ and TT etc. this range has much better equity against his 3bet calling range and there will be less times that your out kicked.

As played I don't mind the shove, you pick up some equity on the turn and there shouldn't be too much in his range that makes him happy to call off a shove... At least that's my opinion but I still suck so hopefully someone with a little more experience weighs in

what are you trying to accomplish with a bet and the c/r?
    09-13-2013 , 11:42 AM
pretty easy bet/bet/? once you 3bet
    09-13-2013 , 11:53 AM
too thin for value(two streets)/pretty likely you are bluffing too much if you are turning a pair into a (3 barrel)-bluff

all of that is conjecture because we've no idea how OPs range is actually spread but i very much doubt cbetting this hand is going to be anything but fine in any reasonable strat. obviously i'm not mindlessly barrelling, some combination of A/4/2/3/diamond, its pretty much irrelevant that we have a pair once we're called on flop. your comment basically implies i'm cbetting and barrelling A4dd and anything better in absolute value which i wouldn't and if i was i'd agree with you

If I'm betting twice here I'm probably betting river as well.

Flatting pre seems real good like cashy said and I suspect this player's F3 to be quite low.

3bet pre is meh, I guess I would cbet half pot on flop if I did it but I don't see myself 3betting this hand preflop. This would be like a button clicking moment for me if I did.

Frankly, I'm tempted to bet 1/2 pot again on turn since we improved but I don't think it's a good idea because he seems very stationary and many Qx/5x/PP(+55) in his range, so check/call on turn seems good, CRAI is only good if I'm psychic and know that outs will hit on river because I don't see this dude ever folding to it.
