baluga with two pair? baluga with two pair?

01-20-2008 , 01:28 PM
Villan is 40 / 6 / 1,8. I have been at the table for only a fwe orbits. I baluga applies with one pair hands, does it apply here too? Our hand is only a little bit better than a on pair hand and I don't know it AF 1,8 with VPIP 40 is loose enough to shove worse.

This is a tough one but I'd be inclined to stack off because 40/6 tend to minraise their big hands and shove their draws. It's possible he has a hand like 89.

I don't think folding is bad though, it's going to be pretty close.

I was more worried about 22 at that point.

calls relatively quickly.

Why? Just because he seems semi - competent?

More bc he seems not very competent and there is only one hand that realistically beats you.
01-20-2008 , 01:49 PM
no, because he's aggressive and we have a lagtard's range beat
01-20-2008 , 01:52 PM
Call because we have the nuts vs a ****** and theres worse hands he shoves for value and as semi bluffs.
01-20-2008 , 01:55 PM
villain has two pair at most. now if we min-check-raised you, i'd weight more towards a set. (i don't play 200nl tho)

You wanna look at his street AFs, they will be pretty huge (lagtardy) I guarantee... the massive gap between his Vpip and PFR means he is way more aggressive post flop to earn 1.8 total af, than say a 17/14/1.8
01-20-2008 , 02:51 PM
his range imo: 5% a set - 95% two pair or worse

22 is just a tiny tiny fraction of his range, seems a clear call to me

His turn AF was also 1.7. I we convert my guy into your 17 / 14 guy we would have to double the 1,8 postflop AF. But a 3,6 postflop AF does not mean that he shoves worse here right?

Can someone tell me if I am not getting the AF stats right....

FYP. 40/6 is the new TAG.

In all seriousness, 1.8 AF with a VPIP that high means this guy gets fiesty pretty oten. I call although I wouldn't say I'm quite ready to say "ship it"

A2 and K8 make up enough of his range to felt here always
01-21-2008 , 02:35 AM
Felt it, you're ahead of enough of his range (obv not all of it) to call profitably.
