Soldier, would you mind elaborating? I think a lot of players c/c this river, I would be very interested why u think it's the 3rd on your list of options. Thanks.

Why would he have 6x on his hand? Maybe A6 but that's a bit far-fetched. If he is a passive fish this line is great, he doesn't want to fold AJ/AT/TT/K9/whatever he is calling with, but he most likely won't bluffraise you. Against a solid player he almost never has the straight, but you can't really get value out of many hands, so check-calling the river should be good. Even though he could be slowplaying a set sometimes, or rivered two pair, I think check-calling and inducing a bluff is a good line against normal aggro-ish players. Against fishes and passive TAGfishes just bet-fold like you did.

There are no real whiffed draws out there, villain could bluff. Most likely he won't bet worse aces when we check but will call a third barrel with them. And he will bet aces up and any straight which is why c/c'ing sucks.

yeah but he has put in half his stack and folds river, commit ore slow down already.

yeah what sixhigh said. When you are going for a river c/c think about what hands they will bet. You can't just say they will bluff, what hands will they bluff?

I like your line. Also what sixhigh said
At this level you are never going to get bluffed raised on the river so the fold is right there.

you think? interesting.

thats what i was concerned with. i thought that by the river my hand was completely obvious and so by betting i left myself open to a bluff shove (whereas by just checking he knows there's no point firing cos i'll always call.)
