I like bet/call on the flop!
If he just calls a shove on the turn with AA, 88, 44 and AQ+ then we are still flipping. Even though he is a tag I think he will often hold AJ, AT and sometimes a (semi-)bluff. Putting it alltogether I like a shove on the turn, even though his line seems strong. Aces and AK is unlikely - AQ and AJ a bit more likely and 88 + 44 are surely in his range, but if he had a set - oh well reload!

pushing turn folds out AT,AJ,AQ but why not call and let him bluff his stakes on river IF you put villian AT+ here.

That sounds okay as well, but I doubt that he will put in 1/2 of his stack and then fold! I think calling is okay, but I prefer shoving.
