villain 33/29 - 26 hands

i thought villains usually make it smaller when they're bluffing these flops, so i just wanted to stick it in so he can't fold mid pp's on a later street.

clearly fine, he's not even full stacked. he's raising worse for value.

i see nothing wrong with that. good move..

What else could u do? Call then x/r turn and risk him checking back all his mid pp?

Easily the beat play here. Wp

I generally call and check down in these spots as a standard. I think people are weighted towards bluffs in this spot the vast majority of the time, and are often tempted to try again when you continue checking.

If the guy is calling 3bets with a 6 or 3 in his hand you can shove any flop profitably with AA... I think the problem you run into against a good villain is that he's not going to call this shove with middle pairs and he will likely barrel a lot of turns if we call and he has a mid pair.

Basically, if he's a fish you want to jam to get value from weaker pocket pairs, but if he's not you want to call and let him fire the turn imo. Anything that isn't folding is going to be +ev here though. A lot of guys will bluff raise boards like this in position because you will almost never connect with this kind of board and they will think that they have live cards if you call so just calling these guys forces them to make a decision about bluffing their full stack.

well played! I might call vs a full stacked regular though

yeah, easy game

any play except folding seems fine, can't really decide if i prefer call or jam.

i mean he's basically full stacked so i'd play it the same as i would versus a full stack except for what i might expect about his play based on not reloading

I tank for a bit and happily ship it in

I usually advocate to call...especially vs very agressive players on paired boards..... but given the fact that he only had 80bb after his 3 bet call and that he propably stacks off with a lot of overpairs just jam it in

I prefer a call. You do see bluffs here from unknowns and they will fold to a shove.

Let him hit a pair or fire another barrel, also I doub't this guy folds a mid pp on any turn except an ace which is pretty unlikely give you hold 2 of them

i call and c/c turn/river as his value range is pretty narrow and hes got a whole bunch of bluffs
