Villian 20/20 about 20 hands :>

A few hands ago i 4bettet AK at the btn 120bb deep to 40$ (he 3bettet to 14)

he 5bet shoved A9o und we splittet at JTQK. Nh.

Now to the hand:

I like a check to induce a bluff. If you bet, he's not calling with worse unless he has some goofy draw... and if he raises, with better OR worse, we shouldn't continue.

So check for pot control and give him a chance to bluff off some chips to you.

If that's what you're going to do, you may have to check a brick river to him and decide if you want to make a hero call. Make up your mind on that BEFORE you check or bet the turn, though.

Edit: maybe I'm a nit... but I'm not a huge fan of the preflop raise out of position. I think you get in trouble more often than not by trying to push those small edges hard when you're out of position.
