BTN: $57.31 (114.6 bb)
SB: $364.65 (729.3 bb)
BB: $21.56 (43.1 bb)
Hero (UTG): $135.75 (271.5 bb)
MP: $98.17 (196.3 bb)
CO: $38.52 (77 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 8 9
Hero raises to $1.50, 3 folds, SB calls $1.25, BB calls $1

Flop: ($4.50) J 6 9 (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($4.50) 7 (3 players)
SB bets $3.42, BB calls $3.42, [color="red"]
Hero?

So SB is 29/24 over 30 hands, BB is a fish.

Obv I'm not worried about BB at all. Do I need any sort of read on SB tho to make this play?

If SB is a reg could squeezing even be an option here since SB's range for flatting UTG open is way too tight to fold here and I'll show up way too often with a hand like this?

I'd just cbet the flop with multiple back doors and an 8 kicker.

What if it was Hu

More likely to cbet in general with fewer players contesting the pot.

Yea but isn't this a good hand to balance our checking with on a board that hits his range more than ours?

Why do you think this board hits villain's range more than ours? Also which villain's range more than ours?

I don't mind x back on the flop. Turn is just a call imo. SB's cc range pre here is super strong and squeezing seems a perfect way to blow ourselves out of any equity when we're getting the right just to call.
