Flop: ($75.00) 7 A 4 (3 players)
UTG checks, CO checks, Hero bets $40.00, UTG folds, CO raises to $165, Hero says grrr!

Currently reviewing my top pair hands because I don't do well with them.

Tough to lay that down. What's the nits fold to 3b. I'm assuming he folds a7 or a4. Which leaves 77, 44 mayyybe 56hh or aq but I don't think so. His raise is huge like he want a fold but might just be cuz nit is scared of draws. Tough spot couldn't really blame u for shoving if u did but I think it's slightly better to fold IMO

you cant fold this ever

fold

im never good enough to lay this down at this spot.

if he's a nit is a fold
09-17-2010 , 01:18 PM
unless u think he is check jamming AQ or AJ on you which i doubt, this is fairly easy fold.
09-17-2010 , 01:38 PM
whatever if you really think someones sucks so fing hard that you can fold this then fold it.

but you guys acting like its some trivially easy fold realize how absurd it is to be bet folding ak on a a74s board in a sqz pot right?

I'm happy to hear some people think it is an easy fold because I felt bad for wanting to fold in the first place. I had the same thought you have Shadylane that it felt absurd to consider folding with tPtK in a squeezed pot. But a nit is a nit. I think I agree with the others that folding here is probably the better play.

it just seems absurd because you're looking at absolute hand strength without considering his range.
09-18-2010 , 03:28 PM
how come are you folding this people? if he has 77 or 44 in his preflop range he might have AQ, AK, KQhh, KJhh, QJhh, JThh, T9hh, 98hh, 87hh, 76hh as well and will play those exactly the same way
