interesting spot.
villain is good multitabling reg. i dont think he has any reason to have any significant reads on me other than my stats, which he probably has at 25/22ish

the sb was a fish fwiw

i think it should be fairly obvious to him that i dont have a jack

Hero (UTG): $217.65
MP: $206.00
CO: $234.00
BTN: $200.00
SB: $186.00
BB: $139.10

Pre Flop: ($3.00) Hero is UTG with Q Q
Hero raises to $6, 2 folds, BTN calls $6, SB calls $5, 1 fold

Flop: ($20.00) J 7 J (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, BTN bets $12, SB folds, Hero calls $12

Turn: ($44.00) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $28, Hero calls $28

River: ($100.00) 2 (2 players)

i think he probably put my range at exactly 88-TT

reason for not cbetting the flop?
I dont like check guessing but as played im never folding

C-bet the flop. The reg can't really make plays against you because of the fish who you are obviously trying to valuetown
01-25-2010 , 05:40 PM
the reason i didnt cbet is bc this villain is going to flat w/ near 100% of his range, and i dont want to play a big pot on this board oop.

i really cant think of a single hand he's folding on this flop vs me on this board.

the fact that i want to valuetown a fish becomes secondary to me when i'm going to be oop vs a thinking player who is gunna abuse me ip.

that being said, i suppose a better line would be to double barrell, fold to a turn raise, and c/f river if he flats turn.

cbet flop, bet turn, bet fold river. You can mix with check fold river too... as played you are on a guessing game and then I think you have to consider if his 3 barreling % is enought to make your c/c, c/c, c/c line profitable... I think against a very aggro reg this could be true. Against a standar TAG I really doubt it.

well, you check the river given the way you got there. why would you c/c c/c lead? makes no sense for any hand.

You say that like its a bad thing? Do you have qq or am I seeing things again

why shouldn't you want him to flat with his hole range??
thats one of those few spots in which you can punish him for doing it

bet/bet/ b/f if he is a good mtbling reg that doesnt bluff in spots like this nevah

c/c c/c c/f or c/c will get you owned so many times it's not even funny

as played I guess look up his tendencies of barreling and going to showdown in an aggro manner and flip a coin, if hes on a lot of tables and plays nitty post ..c/f >>>>>c/c
