Villain is a 23/18/3 reg. I'm not really after preflop comments, I flatted here as BB was a typical 25/22 who would squeeze very light here.

River decent or paper thin?

I don't mind getting it in on the river but I might just c/c if he shoves. we induce him (as a reg) to bluff a larger range of hands view our check as a weak hand giving up vs. him only calling with overpairs/sets.

I don't see a hand in his range that would float twice and bluff river. I betfold ~70

I c/r flop to be able to get it in easier instead of overbetting river

Not sure what hands you think hes going to bluff river with?

I like it. We seem fos donking that flop and will prob get called down pretty light.

Pot pot pot, river bet isn't an issue when you pot pot pot.

Think he's got a lot of hands to bluff with when he calls the turn?

CRing will have too high a frequency of freezing up the hands that will happily call us down.

c/r flop, no1 gives any credit to this ever.

c/c river is lolbad

i still think a c/r is better since by leading you let all his air hands fold and if he bets the flop for value he probably isn't folding to a c/r. also since the board is so dry and is paired he may think we're FOS and rebluff.

What hand range do you perceive calls pot pot pot but folds to a flop cr on the dryest board ever? My standard is to cr as grog has no 4s in his range and thus his perceived value range is miniscule and bluff range extremely high.

I'm not saying he'll fold to a flop CR. I'm saying that it increases the chance that he'll fold later in the hand, on the turn or river. Talking about some range between 55-99. TT/JJ pay us off either way often, so it's important to make the most out of the marginal pairs.

What line would you take with a set, small - medium pp, air?
10-15-2008 , 09:09 AM
I don't understand why you flat call pf and "donkbet" flop ?!
Why not 3 bet pf even you were oop ? Wrong issue ?! Or to increase your value against A7 or marginal hand ?
It's a raise from button not an opening from utg by a nit ...

any decent reg would cbet this flop, its a pretty easy c/r oop.
10-15-2008 , 12:08 PM
c/r all day long and get it in

What's standard isn't always the best/most optimal line. Chaostracize thinks more outside the box, I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it. People react badly to leads/donks in general because standard is to cr and it looks bluffy.

Agreed. I know there are a lot of regs who wil check behind A high on this flop but call a donk.
