200 NL - interesting spot...thin value on river gets raised, confused on river 200 NL - interesting spot...thin value on river gets raised, confused on river

Villain is a mult-tabling tag that hasnt interacted with me much at the table. No stats since I don't play with a hud. He hasn't been aggressive toward me at all. I fired a second barrel... in hopes of getting a pocket pair to fold. When he calls the turn, this looks like KQ or QJ. This could also be a pocket pair refusing to fold. Now by the river, I still put him on the hands mentioned previously and I'm trying to go for some thin value. My bet sizing is a little awkward but I figure he isnt going to call a half size river bet with a small pp, but hell call with a weak Q.

Now this is where it gets interesting, he raises me on the river...but it doesn't make sense to me at all. If he had QT, he would riase turn. if he had a set, he would raise turn because I know tags can't resist raising turn with a monster to build the pot.

The only hand that really makes sense is KJ that he floated on the flop and decided to call turn. AQ, probably would've 3bet me... anyways I don't beat much. But I feel like something is fishy here and not right. To him, my hand is pretty face up... something looking for thin value.

I'd probably fold if i bet like 1/2-~2/3 pot and got raised...but bet size is too tiny that its inducing a bluff.

What is the point of playing w/o a hud if you don't develop meaningful reads? Your entire pre-amble can be summed up as "villain is a reg whom I have no reads on". Just b/c you haven't played a bunch of pots for stacks w him doesn't mean you can't have some kind of a read.

It's pretty silly to say he can't have a set here when you have no reads, and although he is repping a very narrow range, again you have no reads and a reg is putting in a bunch of money in the river, you are waaay behind his range so fold.

Well he could have floated you on the flop with AT figuring you are weak and don't double barrel enough and is hoping to steal it from you on the turn as this flop is pretty good one to float. He might have AQ if he doesn't like 3-betting this hand preflop. I know not all regs or tags 3-bet AQ preflop. As played river looks fishy but what hands do you honestly see him calling flop and turn and making this type of move w/ on the river. 55,77,88,99 all fold out on turn most likely. I fold here and am happy about it. Let me guess you called and had this rediculous soul read and he flipped over like 27... If he has been getting crazy or has insane aggression I would snap this off. Readless... no way

FWIW I would play 44 and 66 like this sometimes on this board.
