100NLz 3b AJs facing river PSB 100NLz 3b AJs facing river PSB

Anonymous zoom, no reads.

I check/called flop and checked turn with the intention of bluff catching the river. Our hand looks strongly like KK/JJ that can be bluffed off on the river.

Opinions on this line? Better to just barrel this hand? What does his pot sized bet on the river rep?

Flop should be a bet since you would probably fire barrels here w/ a lot of air and semi bluffs, he will also call with all Qx and worse Ax.

As played, turn check is fine, as is river check. This being anonymous it makes it pretty difficult as often here i'd make a decision based on my perception of the player. Do people often bluff big OTR when severe passivity has been shown? Does villain play backdoor FDs like this? Yes, probably... but I don't think villain should have many 2 pairs or sets that he plays this way and given how weak you must look to villain I'm sigh calling river - I think you will win >33% vs population.

I don't like c/c'ing the flop. Bet the flop. Bet the turn. Should make your decision easier from there. As played though i'm calling.

c/c flop is obviously fine, although you end up owning yourself a lot in situations like this.

I'd prob fold river for that sizing. I think he's mostly barreling his pure bluffs here on the turn as well.

He stumbled on a flush there. Calling with mid value hands vs a potsize bet from unknown is never a good idea.

I don't like 3betting AJs OOP. Squeezing, sure, but we're dominated too often by hands he'll continue with in position.

I like betting flop a lot more than c/c flop, especially OOP, especially with initiative

I just think you give him so many more chances to hit IP, and you reverse-own yourself too often.

As played I'd call, but you let him outdraw you here some % of the time.
