Cake Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) - Cake-Poker Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

UTG ($28)
MP ($32.95)
CO ($132.85)
Button ($44.75)
SB ($35.45)
Hero (BB) ($100.65)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A, 2
3 folds, Button calls $1, 1 fold, Hero checks

Flop: ($2.50) 8, A, 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $2, Button raises to $8.50, Hero calls $6.50

Turn: ($19.50) 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $19.50, Hero calls $19.50

River: ($58.50) A (2 players)
Hero bets $16, 1 fold

Total pot: $58.50

This was just a weird spot against a complete unknown. I would say that he maybe isnt the greatest because he was short stacking. My image was pretty nitty. I was inclined to put him on 88, AK, AQ when he raised the flop, though it would be weird to limp pre with that. I guess I would say that he has JJ-QQ and spazed. If I did not have the 2 blocker, I may have folded the flop. I see no reason to get it in on the flop as we are always getting it in with worse.

Dude, he could have anything. I just ship flop, if not then definitely turn.

I would say that the game dynamics were not anywhere near that aggressive to where he would put me on a bluff if I shoved. At best, he will call with a good ace & he still has pretty good equity.

The guy has half a stack and will likely call with any ace. I think your over-thinking his play.

but we have only invested like $3.5 and he has ~35 behind.

I guess I subscribe to the school of thought where 3 betting post allows our opponent to make perfect decisions against us.

His line is FOS so I don't mind just calling down to catch a bluff, and check/raising all-in on good rivers, this being one of them.

Don't lead the river.

I can see how not leading river makes sense. I was just worried that the villain would not have any perceived fold equity becuase was only a small amount behind..

The dude has like 17bb left in a 58bb pot, im not sure c/r the river is going to be very profitable. I think flop is fine just shuffle in the rest on the turn.

if he wants to get an ace in he will no matter what on the turn, let him keep bluffing and flat theflop. i'd c/raise the river too, not lead out small

wtf its only 45 bb's.
if youre not shoving the flop then please ch/r the turn. hes not folding any draw (gutshot??) or any Ax that hes has after putting in more than half his stack.
11-05-2009 , 11:35 PM

11-05-2009 , 11:59 PM
