Advice on all streets appreciated.

1) Villain is 24/21/3, 0 3bet over 37 hands.

No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (5 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Button ($22.50)
Hero (SB) ($97.50)
BB ($100)

UTG ($20)
MP ($20)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, J
3 folds, Hero bets $2.50, BB calls $2

Flop: ($6) J, 8, 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $5, BB calls $5

Turn: ($16) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $12, BB calls $12

River: ($40) 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $20, BB raises $65, Hero folds

Total pot: $80

Good odds, but do I beat anything? I bet small to get calls from weaker Jacks.

2) Villain is 20/19/inf, 6% 3Bet over 62 hands. CBet 3 of 4.

pretty thin river value bet in #1, sure worse jacks call, but his range is pretty wide. really want to showdown though, so i like to c/c and let him spew on the river. actually, if you are leading this river, I think you should be calling, but that might just be more spew.

Hand 1: c/f river
Hand 2: Usually AJ is fold vs 3bet, you got position though but still tricky. Your sample on him is too small to draw any serious conclusions unfortunately. As played calling the flop is fine, turn is easy fold though.

#1 why are you c/f river?

Hand 1: C/f if its a larger bet, I feel as though his betting range is polarized. The marginal stuff you beat is checking behind, Trips etc is obviously betting, and I dont think his air is bluffing air often. Given your bet, fold is good.

Hand 2: Hand 2, gotta be a fold vs. his 3bet%. As played, call flop, fold turn

Sample sizes not important (i cant spell irrellevent?).

Hand1: Trouble ahead after the turn call. I also think you need to bet closer to the pot on the turn. If he calls that you are toast. Your (bet size)/pot got smaller each street which can be interpreted as weakness. If hes bluffing you only need to fold slightly more than 50% for him to BE?

I dont think saying you have good odds to call the river is correct as you need to think about this before you bet the river. If you knew villain was gonna raise river bet 100% (before you bet) then your pot odds arent as good as you think. As played I c/f river unless he bets small.

Hand2: Fold pf without reads and fold turn as played
