Hi,

villain is 24/11/1.7 over 500 hands.

I'm pretty sure this line is standard, just a quick check.

Thanks,

I think this is alright if you think he's gonna bet the flop with most of his holdings including his A high and air holdings. Otherwise I'd just bet the flop and call a shove.

That's why I wasn't sure. These kind of really passive villains often call my flop c-bets and I'm not sure what to do on blank turns.

So if I decide to bet, we agree on the shove call, but what do I do on a blank turn? shove the rest in (~pot bet)?

Uh....I dunno. Check/fold I guess......unless he makes a really small bet. If he shoves you won't be getting good enough odds to call on a FD. And I'd find it hard to believe he flat calls the flop here with less than a pair.

Weird spot IMO if that happens.

I guess you could size a flop c-bet to be kinda small so that a turn shove would be about pot sized and maybe then that'd be good. I'm not sure though. I just don't think I really buy that any pair that calls the flop will fold the turn.....unless maybe a K or an A or something shows up.

Edit: And you'd have to bet just $15 on the flop in order to have a pot sized bet left on the turn. Pretty small flop bet that is.

I like it. crai is better than b/c here cuz now you get value out of Ax hands.

OP, why 3bet preflop vs a seemingly passive player? what was his attempt to steal??

A 24/11 type player will generally fold a lot of his opening range to a squeeze; they are tight and don't like to gamble.
