OP is a relatively unknown 25/16/4.0 138 hand sample. How do we play our range most profitably on the river here? standard 2/3 bet? overbet?

I like 3bet pre vs minraise, especcially on the CO with a hand as strong as TT.
I'd shove river, because nothing changed on the river after his call on the turn and potential flush draw missed. So we rep pretty narrow - he could make some herocalls and fold with overpairs is difficult here.

    Sorry for my english.

    Pre is fine.

    I like the flop call.

Turn raise is good to build a pot. But, I think you should of raised more. If you raise to ~37 you can shove for just over pot on the river (like 90 into 82 or w.e). I dont think players will take advantage of you having an unbalanced raise sizing on the turn, i.e raising smaller with bluffs/semi bluffs and larger to get it in on the river with huge hands.

Not many players incorporate overbets in their game, if you don't have an overbet dynamic then I would just bet on the large size - something like 3/4 pot. If you want to start using overbets and delevoping an overbet dynamic, I would start off with an overweighted bluff heavy river overbet range since people give them so much credit if you dont have an existing dynamic. As soon as you noticed players adjusting and calling lighter or more frequently you can start incorporating value hands (and thinner and thinner value hands too). Personally, I am a big fan of having a balanced overbetting strategy.

Bet 45BB on river but I'm thinking he missed fairly often which only leaves his value/hero calling range. I don't see him calling anymore than that so you could even consider making it smaller to squeeze some value at higher success rate.

Yeah think i like a 2/3 bet here, we had no overbetting dynamic at the time, but i had in my mind that my range is super narrow, and that his calling range wouldn't be completely altered by the betsize on the river.

Have you considered that a bunch of his turn bet/call range is now Ace high or worse?
      10-07-2013 , 02:31 PM
I would shove river even tho I would never do it as a bluff p
