Watched this hand play out, and wondered what you think of SB's play here and why?
SB is a 28/22, i won't give reads cause might affect this somehow.
Also, i know it's pretty irrelevant, but is 28/22 considered LAG? or TAGLAG? or what?

Personally, i don't have much of an idea about river, and would likely have bet/called it off. BTN was 58/17 over 36 hands FWIW.

No Limit Hold'em - 6 players

CO: $192.18
BTN: $139.15
SB: $165.73
BB: $63.50
UTG: $135.10
MP: $100.00

Pre Flop: ($1.50)
3 folds, BTN calls $1, SB calls $0.50, BB checks

Flop: ($3.00) 8 7 A (3 players)
SB bets $2.25, BB folds, BTN calls $2.25

Turn: ($7.50) 6 (2 players)
SB bets $6.00, BTN calls $6

River: ($19.50) Q (2 players)
SB checks, BTN bets $30.00, SB raises to $156.48

SB shows J 7

BTN
Spoiler:
called with 9 T

SB should have raised preflop. Not gonna make money over time just limping in, and J7 suited is a good starting hand. Should have checked the flop, and the turn. Should have bet river, yes, but definitely once the opponent bets SB should have had a little more fear of the King-high flush. Probably either raise to 2x the bet (60 bucks) or just flat call on the river.

His play has some merit cause he gets to stack smaller flushes that will probably just call a river bet.

I still think a bet is best because of how often the fish checks behind hands that he would've called with. And I always go on rage tilt when I check and he checks back a T high flush.

Oh, and inverse everything that King Midas said.
