Villain is 21/18 over only 70 hands.
I haven't played poker in a long time trying to get back into it, thoughts?

well... you either have the best hand, or you're getting called.

then i much prefer folding, you're trying to get him to fold something that beats tptk and that usually doesn't work out too well.

its all relative, look at what im repping...

I think once he calls your turn raise, he's not gonna fold to a 1/2p bet on the river. If you had like 70-80 left I would like this a bit more.

+ he might have a flush himself.

ya thats probably true. guess i leveled myself. only hands where that might not be true is higher pocket pairs with 1 heart that he is thinking "ill call river if another heart comes and fold if it bricks"

Ya for sure. It'd probably be better if you had a heart yourself to cut down on combos for flushes. Overall, I think he still has too many XhXh hands in his button range here.

yes in his button range but i think his flop raise of my db cuts down on a lot of those, though maybe I'm wrong in thinking that?

pretty much only flushes i'd say.

this has to be the most confusing line u could possibly have taken, which i guess is good since its for value. Look if u havent been around for a long time then you might not know that leading the flop or what the kids call "donk bettering" these days is seen as a weak made hand or a draw i.e. something that cant really stand a raise. So when ur raised in this spot a competent villain could still have abso anything;

once the draws complete it ur ch/r looks mega strong, which makes his call mega strong, which makes this post make a lot of sense. now ur outa position on the river w/ less than a PSB left so u kinda have no options. u pretty much overreped your hand on the turn which is how u got urself in this mess to begin with.

tl;dr: bad spot to donk. ch/r or ch/c flop; soul read turn; soul read river.

why is it a bad spot to donk if villan will raise almost all of his range?

the thing is imo that after villan bets freakishly small but then calls the raise, he's not going anywhere cuz he'll justify to himself that he induced your aggresion (and he would be right )

bonkers raising the turn
