Hi!

Here is a hand from 100NL on iPoker. I've been trying to find more opportunities for river bluffs lately and came a cross this hand when I was reviewing some older hands.

I got no stats or reads on Villian so maybe we would like to know something about him before we try to bluff him.

The action:

Okay, it feels like he cant have a strong ace since his limp preflop and I think he would have raised the flop with 2pair. So what does his small bet on river really mean? Is it often some kind of junk ace or even a king? Do u think we can get him of a holding like this by raising and repping a ten?

bet less on flop turn check is good just fold river this isnt the right opponent to bluff even with a 4 straight on board

It depends on his stats.

But this is always a bluff raise because this guy has Ax and is never calling a huge raise, to like 24.

Never ever flop/river bluff, if you want to bluff here do it flop/turn/river

Really I think against opponents like this that donk river the only way you're folding them out is if you make it 50+

Yeah, maybe I should have continued fired the turn to get him off a weaker ace or a queen.
But is it really true that u never should bluff flop, check turn and then bluff river again?

I mean, I could easily have checked behind here on the turn with somekind of a ten.

Betting the turn is pretty bad. I wouldn't bluff the river either, people don't fold 2-pair here, and 2-pair/straight is a big part of his range.
