Villain plays 19/16, has a 4% flat open in the sb, 6% flop checkraise and 20% agg frequency on the river. Plays pretty straightforward AFAIK but I have seen him cold 4-bet/fold before so I assume he has moves in his arsenal. Thoughts?

Sample size?

6% check raise has such little air. He's repping that he has you beat and I'm gonna believe someone this nitty.

You need him to

1) Have AhJh, AhQh, AhTh or go bananas with air on a board that smacks your range ridic hard

2) Follow through on the nut worst card in the deck

3) Follow through again on the river and bet precisely just under the size of the pot with his 3rd barrel

All this from a 19/16 with a 20% river aggression 33% of the time? Lol no.

if he play straightforward is fold.
Not because he is able to 4bet/fold pre means that he will c/r flop with (What?) and 3 barrell air.
Depends on your image too. More is nitty more can be a call (he should not expect to find 9 there)

call river. i like the way you played flop + turn. on the river we need 33% and against a value range of 66+77 (6 combos) we have AhJh, khQh, JhTh, 88 (15 combos) beaten, and this way we have more than 33% equity we need.

gonna agree with sgxou here

if he is competent as your notes indicate, he is going to bet bigger on the turn to set up a good river shove with sets, straight..

i'm calling river

i'd check back on the flop, plays easier
