100nl: 3bet pot with NFD & overs, but wait! 100nl: 3bet pot with NFD & overs, but wait!

Villain is TAG (17/11/5.3), with a 3bet of 2.6 (6 % from button), all mined hands. It's the first time I see him 3bet. My image should be TAGgish and solid - I haven't done anything crazy, though I've been getting a good run of cards.

He doesn't c-bet often in regular pots, he almost always c-bets in 3bet pots (2 hands, according to HEM).

When he c-bets this flop, I'm assuming he won't do it lightly. So I'll assign him a range of TT+,AQ+,KQ,QT. Do I fold, call, or push. If I call, don't I have massive RIO to fear (meaning, when a big pot develops it's because I'm beat?). If I shove, do I have enough equity seeing as we're deep?

I would 4-bet and call it off always. Cmon your only 127bb deep it's no difference whatsoever to 100bbs. I don't know how many hands you have on this guy but I wouldn't trust your stats if you have 2 hands on him in 3bet pots.

As you played it I'd c/r, I mean what flop where you hoping for?

I would say his range is a bit wider than this and even though with this range you have to get it in given pot odds.

Yea thats really bad man. You should really be 4betting pre. If you're gonna flat pre then you must get it in on this flop, if you're going to be check folding this flop you may as well fold preflop..

lol @ folding. you aren't nearly deep enough to consider anything besides shoving... much less folding.
11-21-2008 , 05:50 AM
yeah, I knew I was making a mistake right after I folded
dunno what I was thinking
