100NL - 3bet pot with 44 100NL - 3bet pot with 44

Villain is 25/20 8.0% 3-bet and recently coolered me for a 450BB pot. I haven't really been out of line but he has about 1k hands on me so might have seen me do something nuts in the past -- not sure.

I think pre is marginal, but we're deep enough that I can call for set value. He's going to have TT+,AQ+ here as a range. He probably knows I will call fairly loose with position.

On the flop I have position, the board has a few draws, and only a couple of his hands like the K on the board. I think floating is reasonable.

Turn A, I didn't want to get greedy and rep it since I don't have too many aces in calling range pre that I flat this flop with. I would likely not bet a bare FD here either. I also almost never play AK this way preflop so that's out. I might peel the flop with AJ or AQ once in a while though. I think this is pretty debatable whether to bet / bet or check and rep the K / fd.

Reasonable to bet the river? I'm trying to get him off TT-QQ by repping the K or flush value-bet. It was the plan when I floated the flop but the A threw a wrench into the plan.

I'm hoping my river range looks like way more value hands than air (or 44 :P) so it should be profitable, amirite?

So, just to be clear, you're peeling the flop with intentions of taking the pot away on later streets, and you think that's a good plan when his range is TT+/AQ+?

Don't like float here at all.

huh, as the board played out i think that your line looks convincing...but i think that the turn and river are perfect for your percieved range

if you float here i think you should be for sure betting or raising all diamonds on the turn and betting all cards 6<.

do you expect villain to fire if a t-q come on the turn? if not do you bet?

I think you're trying too hard to win a hand. This just isn't a good spot to be floating in.
Underpairs are like the worst hands to float with - you can't turn good draws, you can't turn better pairs.

I would waaay prefer to float here with something like JThh

I'm floating because some of his range doesn't like the K (TT,JJ,QQ,AQ) and some of it does (AK,AA,KK). I too would prefer to have an actual hand with SD value (well, 44 is against AQ I guess) but such is not the case here. It was just position and I was trying to rep a hand.

If villain fires (any) turn, I fold obviously. No way he barrels into my perceived flop range without a K+ hand unless tilty/suicidal. C/C praying for a river showdown maybe but not a bet without it.

I definitely fire a low or diamond turn (to rep the king/fd again), ace just seemed somewhat unlikely that I can hold it thus it looks bluffier. Plus it means I have to jam river, where, if I'm trying to get him off TT-QQ+AQ my thought was he should fold those anyway so my bluff gets cheaper.
