Villain is 22/19, 9% 3b. Don't really have any history with him. But he has fairly aggressive post flop betting numbers. (edit: and he had folded 3 of 3 times previously to a 4b. i only have 700 hands on him.)

$200.00 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

BTN: $263.85
SB: $100.90
BB: $200.00
UTG: $131.10
Hero (MP): $244.65
CO: $31.00

Pre Flop: ($3.00) Hero is MP with Q Q
1 fold, Hero raises to $7, 1 fold, BTN raises to $24, 2 folds, Hero raises to $51, BTN calls $27

Flop: ($105.00) J 3 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $64.00, Hero raises to $193.65

Probably standard, but I like to double check.

I like betting the flop rather than risk a free card

who will not shove with AA or KK after a villain 4BET 1/5 his stack with total pot around 40BB?

well, villain for one, since he showed up with aces.

I agree, but he did mention villain was particularly aggressive post, so I don't mind it here.

me too.

but isnt an occasional c/r here good as well?

oh, and are you bet calling or bet folding?

B/c is fine and if I were cr it would be because villain had seen me c/f in a few spots before and I wanted to him him I dont c/f every time I check.

weird.. i can't imagine an '9% 3b' and 'aggressive' failed to shove pre with AA.

anyway, nice play, scared the hell out of him..

if we lead and he shoves, what do we beat? i feel like leading almost turns our hand into a bluff. there is almost no worse hand he can call with here. maybe tens every once in a while. but even that seems unlikely. other than the flush draws, which there aren't many combos of (and those have excellent equity against us anyways,) it feels like we're usually in trouble if i bet out and get action.

Flatting this 4 bet with AA/KK is infinitely better than flatting with any other hand, even though it may not always be optimal.

lol no, more like he fist pumped called here.

OP, I think you have to get it in here. b/c or c/r are both fine, since you have an overpair in a 4 bet pot and don't have any strong reads telling you otherwise. Given you had recently 4 bet villain 3 times, he can easily be making a stand here, so I like your line

no no, i only meant his stats said he folded 3 of 3 times to a 4b. i think only one of those was from me, and it was in a previous session.

chalk it off as a cooler if he had you beat here
