1/2NL large pot KK and river decision 1/2NL large pot KK and river decision

Live 1/2. Hero has $650 and Villain has him covered. Villain has been playing very loose/passive calling large bets with slim draws, low pairs, etc. all night.

Pre-Flop: K K dealt to Hero (UTG+1)
UTG folds, Hero raises to $12, UTG2 folds, MP1 calls, MP2(Villain) calls, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB folds, BB folds.

Flop: ($63) Q 9 4
Hero bets $50, MP1 folds, Villain calls, CO folds, Button folds.

Turn: ($163) 5
Hero bets $70, Villain calls

At this point I did see the flush card come but the by the villains actions looking at his cards and the board I was 85% certain he did not have a flush.

River: ($303) 6
Hero bets $250, Villain raises all-in to $515, Hero???

I'll take comments on any part of the hand. Including what I should have done on the end.

Is this a case where I should have kept the pot smaller since I still only had an overpair? My thinking on the river bet was going for value given the villains calling history.

Thanks.

I don't really get your bet-sizing here at all. Why'd you make a tiny turn bet and bomb the **** out of the river? I'd probably just bet/fold the turn for like 110-130 against a passive player such as this.

As played, snap fold to the river shove. If your read is even remotely correct this is a bluff exactly never.

I hate the call by villian on turn, I agree with claunchy on the size too. If you're going with the read from statement, why not increase turn bet (you're willing to throw 250 on river, why not double turn and save yourself river)... River bet is horrendous... Fold and kick yourself for overbetting the river and getting shoved by a hand thats beating you

bet like a man

'Villain has been playing very loose/passive calling large bets with slim draws, low pairs, etc. all night.'

the only draw that hit was flush, so he has a flush, and it's this 15% when he checks cards to see if he has spades or clubs, lol

Oh, I also see people missing value bets all the time, but let's remember what its for...a hand to call that is behind... Or are likely to be behind after another card... 250 is hardly a value bet... And consider the flush 15% of the time... 85% of the time he has no flush and folds... 15% of the time he does and calls or shoves and you realize that you have value bet for him.

bet small for value, as even call stations will laydown 1 pair in this spot for 125bb, so your bet is pretty counter productive.

This is an fold on the river you are beat 99.9999999991% of the time.

although I did vb ~50bb once on a river with tptk to a donk I was 110% sure I was beating... Just for fun I grabbed a stack, and I almost puked when he called... LOL until he tabled with middle pair hahaha but that is the craziest vb / payoff I've ever heard of LOL what a donkey... I turned to my neighbor and said "wow! How about that value!!!!" He and I laughed our butts off while the donkey looked confused and dejected. No doubt he was thinking "what's a vb?"
