You have to call.

not really sure what you are doing on the flop but def call he never thinks you have a Q and can be value betting TT here as well as bluffing. if you want to do something on the flop raise, you have position and 6 outs against most of his hands and put him in a kind of gross spot oop with hands like 99. floating this flop just makes it look like you have 55 or 76and he may try to get you off it as overcards come

edit:id like to say floating is not bad if you are flatting draws here often and plan on bluffing a jack or hearts or something but most people raise their draws these days, esp bvb

This is like the very top of your range in this spot, I wouldn't fold here.

btw. I don't like the flop float too much, you're gonna get a 2nd barrel pretty often on this board.

Why not reraise on turn?
03-23-2008 , 06:18 AM
reraise preflop

flop call is horrifyingly bad

anyone who raises the turn is not a winning player at 1/2

now ill explain:

reraise pre: position, 150bb, hes aggro so hes raising wide, ur hand plays well in pos in 3bet pots

flop: i really cant go beyond the standard "plz fold"

turn: if we raise, we are bluffing. its a really bad bluff imo.

apoligies for the mean comments, i am on lifetilt.

The flop is very draw heavy, so if you had a good hand you would probably raise here. You might also raise a decent draw here. So when you call, villain will put you on a weak made hand, ie 7x, or less likely a draw. Therefore he will probably be double barrelling his whole range very often. When you float, he has to check the turn for you to even have the option to bluff. A lot of the time when you float, he will bet the turn and you will have to fold having lost more money than just folding the flop. If you raise the flop you do a better job of representing a good hand, and you don;t have to hope that he checks his air on the turn in order for you to bluff.

cause the range of hands that just calls that flop is generally very weak

weak 8's, 7x, pps that arent giving up to a flop bet.

so against an aggro opponent who realizes that ur not very strong, he's going to bluff at you a lot on the turn. the point of a float is to steal the pot on the turn by betting when ur opponent checks, he's not likely to check here very often.
