2/2 Live, 9 player

utg ($60) = on tilt. re-pots on marginal hands
utg+1 ($1000) = decent player who seems to catch boats once an orbit
hj ($500) = HERO = 7 8 9 A
co ($125) = lag. treats double suited anything like it was AAKKds preflop. has reloaded 3times in 2hrs.
button ($225) = new player

preflop:
utg straddles to $5, utg+1 calls, hero calls, co pots to $29, but calls, blinds fold, utg all in for $60, utg+1 calls, hero calls, co all in for $125, but calls, utg+1 calls, hero calls

flop ($500+): 2 6 T
utg+1 checks, hero checks (right move???), button all in, utg+1 calls, HERO?

background on me-> I'm a sng player aka never bet into an empty sidepot.

What would you have done on the flop after UTG+1 checks? Why?
what would you have done after utg+1 calls button's all in? WHY?

Spoiler:
I re-raised all in.
i doubt utg+1 was going to fold w/all that $ there but if a scare card hits the river, I'm not getting any $ out of him.
Correct move?

How are you supposed to play megadraws w/an empty sidepot in cash games?

There are obviously many times where how you play out the side pot will matter. This is not one of those times. This is a put-your-money-in-and-do-a-little-dance kinda time.

This is what you should do on that flop 100% of the time here.

your hand gave me a boner.
Just get as much money in the pot as you can on the flop

Main pot is already 250bb and your hand is amazing. Anything but shipping it is a huge mistake here.

Very trivial jam.

should I have shipped it the 1st time around when utg+1 checks?
or was checking the right move?

wish I can edit after reading comments to make my post clearer.
wanted to say I couldn't decide whether to call or shove after utg+1 calls button's all in.

so the concensus on that is to shove, which I did.

but my main question was my check on the flop the first time around?
would you have shoved there?

/wish I can edit after reading comments to make my post clearer.

I would usually always bet the first time around and not think much about it but there might be a bit of merit in actually checking with the hope that someone else will jam it in but I would assume all those jams would become calls if you jam first (might not be true depending on your image and opponents). Your hand on the flop is so beautiful but the problem becomes when it gets checked through and the turn is an overcard or brings a backdoor flush draw, your still not really able to fold to a bet in that spot and your equity has dropped a decent amount. With the money already in the pot, you getting 2 opponents to fold while you have A high is pretty big so I think betting the first time around will never be a bad play.

You will learn that you should treat side pots in PLO much differently than in sng/mtt

What does your minraise range look like here? I think the pot is 864 and we have 275 back after calling the 100 on turn.
