V is a white woman in 30s.
Seen her in holdem tables before. If I remember correctly, normally passive but randomly donk spazzes tpnk in multiway pots especially with shortstacks.
She played normally/nitty after rebuy for full 500.
Tonight at the plo table she was tight passive so far, no interesting memorable hands.

In game, I almost folded.
Because the back of my mind, female players = passive.
I'm thinking to myself wtf do I beat??? It's like I beat air only. I lose to Kxxx.

Then I was like, I have the 2nd nuts, just call and pay her off or whatever.

She shows JJ???

I guess people do thin value after seeing such hand.

I thought this was a polarized spot? bluff/air? Or AA but we have AA ourselves.

Now question is do we still always call vs other random players as well?

You can exploit someone really nitty occasionally but you’ll be good here more than 1 in 3 vs randoms imo.

It checked around again -- you are the BTN, right I don't mind just taking it down w/ a bet, which is usually what happens. So often I check here and lose on the river to some random flush or low straight that hits the river that would snap fold to a < pot-size bet on the turn.

Worked out fine, though. Very glad you didn't fold.

My default would be fold here, but it sounds like villain may have given off some tells or played ranges overly linearly, making it more of an obvious call.
