Check/fold is out of the question on my mind. I think it's pretty unlikely he hit that river, and probably has something like busted hearts. So the only question is whether we want to make a value bet or induce a bluff, and that's largely dependent on what kind of spewy player he is (he is going to make a call with a crappy two pair here if you make a modest bet?).

Donking the flop is pretty bad IMO. The only thing that can call that you beat is a naked flush draw. If villian would have something like nut flush draw plus a pair, your a 60/40 dog. In a HU pot bet/folding might be an okay play, but against 3 other players with a possible flush draw, its a spew. You should pretty much be playing for top set or nut club draw and folding otherwise.

As played, I'd just stick it in on the river. You've allready got 1/2 your stack in and back door spades or a gut shot straight are a small part of villians range. You'll be giving out over 3-1 odds so just hope villian calls worse. I think a bluff from a worse draw is fairly unlikely because of stack sizes in relation to the pot. Any decient villian will realize he has very little fold equity. With a more solid read that villian will bluff when checked to on a scare card, then I might opt to check call.
