Hi all,

We have trips with the best kicker in these two hands, but we have a pocket pair.

Hand 1.

Call an open with AQJ77 in hj A-high hh $1200 eff. and we are six ways to JJ4dd, sb preflop caller donks almost pot, we flat heads up. Kd ott and sb x. We x. River K. X/x.

Hand 2.

Raise AAKT9ds utg, five ways to TT6r. X, 2nd to act bets almost pot, we flat heads up. Turn 6 giving us the bdnfd. X, V bets almost pot again, hero? We are $1,200 eff.

Try again.

Maybe blinds and bet/pot sizes would be helpful.

But hand 1 i would sometimes take some stabs on river with the intention of folding chops - but do we have a single diamond in hand?

Hand 2, i am primarily raising turn but if Hero and villain are both very deep its can be ok to sometimes flat.

Oops, 5/5/15 straddle, opens were to $50 so pot was around $250 each hand on the flop.

Think you played first hand well, I’m probably betting turn when checked too though with the intention of checking behind on unimproved rivers.

I guess I am shipping turn on second hand most of the time, like I’m not calling with $400 behind.

We didn't have a diamond, no.
