V is pretty legendary action, he's been on a break from poker and I got to play with him tonight. He has been getting it in pre a lot and betting liberally postflop as well. I played these hands against him:

1. he opens and I 3! KKJJ5 with naked Kc. He 4! and I flat. He says "I know you have aces." Heads up. Flop ($500): A73cc with Ac. Checks through. Turn: Jc.He bets $300. We have around 450 left.

2. There's a tighter player open and we flat otb KJT98ds, action 3! to $150 and we are three ways: ($450): K53r. Action pots and folds to us. Spr is 1. V says he flopped a set of 3s.

3. Raise AKKQ6 in ep, V calls and there is a 3! otb and we flat. Three ways to A63r. We x, action bets $50 into $150, 3!ttor flats (he would always pot top set here), we CRAI.

I don't know why but this ! notation really annoys me.

You should maybe get in hand 1 preflop against this sort of opponent, depending on what your actual cards are.

1; folding (have we seen any of his prior 4b hands?)

2; getting it in

3; getting it in as played

Have you ever heard him say what he had? If so, was he telling the truth?

1 I agree with Wazz, gii pre. As played you’re asking if we should bluff for 150 more?

2) I don’t mind a fold after the speech

3) pot

Hand 1 is def not a GII - it's a top 20% hand. Unless he's 4bing nearly every other hand I would say it's either a call or fold of the 4b.
