100plo 6max

Hero: $155
Villain covers

Raised pre to 4.00

Flat on button with 689j hhdd

3 players(pot $13)

Flop 7 10 2r

Villain checks, hero bets $8, villain calls other player folds

Turn(pot $29):

7 10 2 A completes rainbow

Villain leads $12, hero raises to $40, villain pots, hero?

I flop a massive draw and with the board texture I figure a bet would take it down though villain has called some on pots he hasn't continued.

The lead on turn leads me to believe he's either betting the scare card or turned the nuts with little in between. I raise to find out and get popped.

As played just throw it away or commit and hope to hit?

I'm pretty sure you've now got odds to call off; however, your turn raise is indeed spewy against most opponents IMO. He's going w/ any set clearly and probably just about any aces up, so you need to be prepared to go w/ your hand before you raise his weakish lead.

I agree with bouncin, very spewy, especially with a card that didn't help your draw at all, if a Q or 5 turns at least you've added several outs to the wrap or maybe a backdoor flush draw, if he has a set you are less than 30% here, so it's okay to let it go I think
