Thanks for your help.
I think you can get a feel for the game at PLO50, based on ur background you'll no doubt get the hang of it soon. I suggest you start by learning playable preflop ranges and then look at some videos to get an idea on what made hands/draws are strong enough to continue OTF/OTT, etc.

I'm currently making videos for CardRunners so I feel it's not approprite for me to compare training sites, get a free trial and check out the content before deciding

This forum has a ton of excellent strat/theory posts worth reading, most of them can be found via the Grand Digest-sticky

Pressure, lead that flop big. c/r/shove as played

OTT, c/c is the only play, no need to protect ur trips when u have the FD covered, also keeps bluffs in villain's range and potcontrol vs boats

looks fine, c/c flop might be optimal though, as u don't get a ton of folds from pair+FD type hands. leading is still ok though

hm.. i have a super wrap (any card 7 to ace to make my straight). I would have lead out.

but I see what you're saying in that any heart can ruin your day, thus keep the pot small till you make your handl?

what if you had the T instead of T for a Q high flush draw in addition to the wrap?

1/2 homegame, $200 buy in, 10 player

utg $600
mp (hero 5 7 8 A) $600

utg is a LAG but also the best player on the table.

preflop:
utg pots, hero calls, hj calls, btn calls

flop ($31): 6 9 K
utg checks, hero pots, hj calls, btn calls, utg pots, hero ???

I put utg on set kings.
hj and btn are calling stations.

i'm not folding but What's my best line?
re-pot or call? or..?
WHY?

Spoiler:
I pushed, hj + btn folds, utg calls.
(it's a home game. its undersatood that utg isn't folding if he calls my re-pot.)
I hit my nut flush, and he doesn't improve.

couple of people at the table said pushing was the wrong move if I put utg on a set.
they said don't push when you're behind and you know he's not folding.
Were they right??

Flat the raise to keep the stations in the pot. No point in shoving if you're sure he has a set. Flat, fold pairing turns.

Hey, I Play HUSNGS and looking foward to move to PLO sometime soon from lower stakes and my plan is:

300$ -> NL5 play 6 tables on Stars

Play like 8hs per day to grind my goal is to be at NL100 in one year or so is that even possible with 50bi BRM management for initial stakes till nl25 and then 100bi +

I like PLO and will like to know more about BRM for the games and rake stuff.

What are the main things to study about PLO games and what content do you recommend me?

Thanks!

Hi all, I'm just starting out and having trouble with postflop play. Are there any recommended resources which address this?

Just a couple questions
In which situations should we be betting our draws and how big of a amount should we be betting?

Also, say we know the opponent is on a draw, I understand I'm betting enough to make their call unprofitable. How far above the breakeven point should we bet? If we had a set/straight I'm guessing a pot bet is standard, what about if we have two pair?

I know the answers are infinitely more complex but just some general guidelines would be great

Thanks a lot!

I suggest watching some videos to get an idea of hand strengths postflop.

As to the questions on betting draws/sizing, way, way, way too many variables. Just post a couple HHs here to get a base line, it's def worth the small trouble

Why did I lose at 13bb/100 at zoom PLO5 over 15k hands, but at normal PLO5, Im up 25bb/100 over 3k hands AND under equity?

Im quite a tight player (so my stats say) so is it just variance, by the way i was pretty much EV on the losing period, i thought zoom is nittyer which would play to my strengths?

Because 15k hands is a minute sample

but still a sample. its not like im under or over EV on the losing period, im pretty much spot on, same as on the up!

Hi,
i am playing micro 6max (PLO2/PLO5) Zoom/Rush PLO. Atm i don't have a PLO hud and thus most of the time i am pretty readless. I tried to use GoGetaRealJob's "Starting Hand Chart for 6max" however his CO/BTN ranges seemed to me a bit loose in these games. Like should i really call an UTG raise w JT9xss in CO? So can someone help me to change this chart in a way that it reflects the position of the preflop raiser too?
(Ofc, i know that for more experienced ppl this chart thing looks stupid but i am a newbie coming from NL so this might help to avoid some costly errors...)

Hehe, the hand in question is def still playable, ur nearly always a dog pre, but position in a PLO-hand is golden, much more important than in NLHE.

That said, there's nothing wrong with cleaning up ur range from danglers, just play JT97ss and better if u don't feel comfortable with marginal spots. Also, you need to look who's in the blinds, a big reason to flat an UTG raise with a wide range is to invite fish in the blinds in

Should anyone play plo25 zoom on stars without being supernova first? I've played a bit on both and get crushed on zoom and do alright on regular tables because I see a huge huge difference.

Yet there are lots of silver - gold regs on stars.

I just had another go today as my HUD doesn't work on regular tables, and it looks disgusting when I know I'm getting 15% rakeback or something, and yet other regs like it?

Any merits to it?

I want to get into HU PLO, but dont have the roll for .25/.50, so I thought it would be a good idea to play the HU PLO SnGs.
1. is that a good idea to build a HU roll and gain experience?
2. I am playing the turbos right now, better advice?
3. what bankroll do you suggest? 100 buyins enough? too much?
4. Would it make more sense to try to build a roll with regular tables or zoom?

I dont know how to play the SNG's but i'd guess that it takes even more effort to learn bc of the changing stacks. So on top to the gametheory which is so tough&complex and to HU-Dynamics, you have to adjust to this factor as well. And that is a lot for a newbie. Playing turbo makes it even harder to think about the ranges.

I think for HU you should play regular tables and you certainly don't need 100BI to play. You can do something like buying in for a shorter amount and then go and develop a solid preflop game first.. and when it comes to postflop play your decisions are more simple bc of the SPR being low.

If you are completly new: What u could also do is asking frineds or ppl on the internet that play PLO and play them at playmoney stakes to get a feeling first so you are better prepared when you take your roll to plo25.
