yes

Yeah and to top it off.. neither did he recognize David Cameron or Sweden's prime minister

I don't care if he is gay or whatever, and I think gays should have all the same rights as heterosexuals (little hook for our American friends ;-)), but I don't think he is fit for the job of president.

Who is that guy?

Meh, who cares if you know who Sweden's prime minister is unless you're in the business of tight jeans for fjortis.

Dmitry Medvedev, the President of Russia. Failing to recognize him is pretty wtf stuff, given we live next to Russia, we've got lot of history with Russia (we got our independence less than 100 years ago), and he's supposed to be some kind of expert in Russian relations.
01-16-2012 , 12:52 PM
Pretty sure this is the president of Russia..

Correct, but he is still the president. And just lolling for your leveling because there might be some people on this thread who really would think that Putin is the current president.

e: and that puppet ain't gonna dance well with those control lines and sticks

Btw any SSPLO people going here http://igameopen.com/ ? starts on thursday. I was thinking of maybe playing the 50+10€ PLO rebuy and 200€ holdem.. depending on the levels of hangover and drunkness at any given time.

Well, technically they both are. (at least in finnish language, not sure if english is the same)

Putin just isn't the acting president.

Putin is the prime minister and Meddie is the president.

Putin is working on amending the Russian constitution to more or less eliminate term limits at the moment so that he can become president at the next election and remain one for the next 12 years at least.

I was also a bit shocked by him failing to recognize those pics, but given his lengthy international career for the UN/EU and as a cabinet member in the Finnish government, I'm not too worried about any lack of contacts or not following world news . He's been invited to the US several times to brief legislators on sectarian violence in Africa, etc.

The nuclear issue is def a controversial one, was a funny revelation when Soini admitted he had been on the same anti-nuclear demonstration with Haavisto after Chernobyl. Nuclear power is important for economic growth and Finnish manufacturing plants etc., in the short term, I guess it comes down to how you feel about economic growth and investing in green technology in the long term.

Well that was sertain right after Medvedev was chosen (and why he was chosen) on last elections. And like you said, Putin will be the next president of Russia.

Agreed, the Clash made awesome music. I always thought their famous tracks (namely London Calling, Anarchy in the UK, Should I Stay or Go) were pretty good, but just a month or two ago I checked out the rest of their catalog and it's really great stuff.

To add one more, this is prob my fav track of theirs:

I'm guessing that song has to be about vietnam?
