To be clear, I'm referring to HU tables, but I'm sure this applies elsewhere as well.

Some of you guys really need to cut the berating at the tables. I've been splashing around PLO to learn the game in the past week, and I've been berated awfully, even when villain is winning. Several people (including some posters I see in this thread) even pointed me to my PTR stats and told me how big of a loser I am (the truth is I mostly play live and/or on other sites and obviously have never played PLO before). Now if I was actually a loser in poker and wasn't just splashing around in PLO, I'd probably stop playing. I've made it a rule, though, that I won't dump off while learning to anyone who berates, unless I feel like they suck.

Seriously, telling a fish he's a fish and then going so far as to tell him where he can go online to find out for a fact that he's a fish is so mega -EV I can't even tell you. The last thing anyone wants to do is dump off to an *******. I was kinda disappointed to see some of you guys were 2+2ers. It's not that I'm offended; it's just I hate people scaring the ever-dwindling fish pool away.

And commenting on someone's PTR profile that they are a fish or pointing out holes in their play is colossally stupid for the obvious reasons as well.
I have done this before when I tilt (and I do so easily). Just terrible, and I feel like such a friggin moron whenever I do this afterwards. Apologies to anybody I've done this too. Tilt control just one of the steps to becoming a good poker player and I have a long, long road ahead of me. Feel free to call me out on it if you see this in the future. Also, just ignore me at the table and continue to take my money, cause I'll be sure to tilt it away.

Add: Glad someone called me out on it. Prolly best way for me to learn.

Yea I see this happen all the time at 6max/fr. I'd imagine its even worse at hu tables but at least that only hurts them. I don't really care if some idiot wants to scare away fish at their tables. I just can't stand when they ruin it for me too.

I really need to stop playing HU. Was checking some different things in my HEM, and noticed, that all my -EV is from HU - although I'm winning about breakeven there. Then, in 6max, I'm breaking even in EV, but losing 3k this month... PLO100-200...

And here's a fun hand, flop nut straight + topset + fd, river full house, lose.

Unless they play their draws aggressively, or there is a flush out, or the board is raggy and unconnected. It's a cool hand and all, but pretending it's a +ev spot is just silly.

Get your chat banned and you won't be able to do it anymore. I keep chat for like 3 days after I get it back but I don't call people fish or anything. I just talk junk and circumvent the profanity filter and sure enough someone runs off and snitches to the mod and I can't talk for a month. I would just ask for a chat ban myself but that kind of takes the fun out of it. My personal favorite is to have the nuts and say "lick my balls" and when I win the hand say "how do my balls taste."

Hey guys,

Been working a bit on my P90X website and would appreciate any feedback regarding the general feel of the website, navigation, cleanliness and if you feel like there is some direction when you visit (ie the need to click on things and learn more about what P90X is)

This is the site: http://www.myhealthworkout.com/

I haven't put in that many hours and realize that there is still a ton of work to be done. Constructive criticism would be much appreciated. Thanks

It's not that unusual to just call the nuts here since you're not bet/calling anything but a split which means he loses money to rake by raising.

Well...I can see snark's point.
With a hand like TTTT you are hoping for:

-) a broadway flop
-) that the board produces a straight possibility by the river
-) that the board doesn't pair by the river
-) that the board doesn't 3 flush by the river
-) that villain is able to fold a non-nut hand at PLO100

If one ore more of these points doesn't apply, you are ****ed and you stack off because you wanted to show your buddies at 2+2 how badass you are. Once the flop is out (QJ9r), SeaKing played it brilliantly, but that's probably the best flop you can hope for. I doubt that calling pre is +EV in the longrun.

But hey ... how often do you get dealt TTTT .. I might even play it for the fun of it

why do you need a broadway flop? if the board comes 678, 789, 679, 689, no one can have the nuts either. the whole point is that T is one of the most commonly used straight cards.

i have no idea whether or not the spot is actually +EV but its +lifeEV obv

I hope you are you joking, but if you aren't, exactly 2 cards from hand, exactly 3 from board. There is no such thing as "the board plays" in PLO or 1 card flushes/straights. Also, the flop cbet is terrible, you are almost never getting folds on that board and you are basically just bluffing.
