Yah man, same guy. He ran sick good vs me, but I also played awful vs him in some spots cuz he tilted me like crazy.

He had a massive tell though. If he bet full pot, he had a good hand, if he bet 1/2 pot, he was trying to steal.....

WTF, why are you guys 3betting with QQxx? They're really not that good hands, and you kind of prefer the pot to be small relative to stacks if you want to see a flop with them.

E.g. in a tournament situation where you're not that deep I don't find QQxx playable unless it's spectacularly good QQxx (or if it's very internet donkament shortstack playing). I may be wrong, but I don't think so. They don't rate that highly, and they're a bad hand to choose to 3bet a lag with.

For the past 2 weeks, I began grinding PLO25 playing a very TAG 20/8 style, and won at 6 bb/100 hands for about 14k hands, winning 16 buyins. Anyways, last night I felt sick bored with the grind, and started questioning what was the point of grinding this stupid 6bb/100 hands, bla bla and tilted away 14 buyins to total donks (JWC can attest to my awful play last night).

This morning I woke up and started asking myself, how the HELL does JackInDaCrak win at this damn game. I think he's moved up to PLO50 now, but when he was playing PLO25 the past few months, I felt he was one of, if not the best PLO25 regular on Full Tilt. I was always amazed at how he could play like 50/32 and crush everyone at the table.

So I started looking at some of his hands in my database, as well as another 40/20ish regular who was crushing. And I started to think to myself about the merits of playing more LAG, raising limpers, betting a ton more flops, playing big draws more aggressively in position, playing a ton more pots in position, etc. And I decided to do an experiment, and see if I could push myself to be more LAG.

After 1755 hands tonight 6-tabling the PLO25 games, I won $166.40 at a rate of 18.96 bb/100. I ran at 34.6/18.9/1.72. I know small sample tho, but def. my play is much better than when I was TAGing it up....

Not quite the 50/30 of Jack, but feels so good to finally understand how to play this game.

I remember reading some of the 2+2 threads and I said this guy should fold like Axxx single suited preflop on the BTN, and I think it was Wazz who said that any suited Axxx was good enough to raise on the BTN. And I was like wtf, and never understood why....

And tonight I was raising like any limper with Axxx single suited....
