i might be a degen gambler but this game is ****ing stupid for sure

lol probably true. I def think taking the rest of the day off once your down more than like 4-5bi is a good habit when grinding plo tho.

I think twelve is a good number.

The limit is different for different people. I feel absolutely gutted after a -10 BI session. I usually take a 45+ minute break after ~4 buyins. That's ok because I don't feel the need to put in massive volume since it's not my job.

The smart thing to do would be to take a break as soon as you get annoyed like Gus Hansen tries to do. Unless you feel like you can maintain an acceptable winrate while being annoyed.
