its really the old poker debate that will probably never go away, where is the line between doing anything you can to make a dollar during that hour of the day your playing and beyond

I encourage everyone to berate the most ridiculous bumhunters any chance you get though
I get your point. If it would be up to me I'd take all steps necessary to get rid of bumhunting. The reality on the other hand, right now, is that bumhunting seems to be the present and the future of online poker.

I'm a recreational player and I've never played against HCC, don't know his style or how hardcore BH he is. All I know he's a crybaby. But it seems like there's too much hypocrisy here regarding the subject. But as you said it's a subjective matter.

All I'm trying to point out is that don't hate the player, hate the game.

True. People who say they hate bum hunting prob wouldn't play sauce lots of tables at their standard (highest) stakes they play.

It's all a spectrum

I guess it is the people that only play complete droolers we dislike...

Bumhunting that is fine IMO:

1. Only joining tables that have a weaker player than yourself
2. Waiting at HU table on a site with restricted table numbers and only playing a weaker player than yourself

Bumhunting that sucks:

1. Joining a 6-max table and sitting out, waiting to sit-in when a weaker player sits
2. Sitting out immediately when the mark sits out at a 6-max table
3. Opening a million HU or 6-max tables with the intention of only playing a mark
4. Seating scripts

Party of all places has actually implemented a pretty good fix for 1 & 2

Basically they have made it so it's "sit-out one, sit-out all".

You can either sit-out at one table, in which case you will be booted from that table in 15 seconds. Or you can sit-out at all your tables.

Pretty close to busto. 30 buys under EV this month, over 100 under EV total. Only time i have run over EV was my first month when i came back and ran good by $30!

How can you be close to busto when you are up money and should have made a decent amount in rakeback?

i have been using my points to buy Amazon vouchers as they are better value than the straight cash - i buy lots of books!

Down to about $450, and to put that into context have lost $700 in the last week running 27 buys below EV. CBA to drop down to PLO5 or 10 so if my luck doesn't change i'll just take it as a hint that i'm just not lucky enough for poker.

What?? Shouldn't you be at 1150 + 270 = ~1,400? (assuming 1150 was your starting bankroll) Isn't rake already included/taken out in your winnings? (I.e. they take rake from the pot and then ship the pot to you, so you winnings should be winrate after rake?)

Even if you spent all your rakeback on books, shouldn't you still be up in $?

lol your winrate is CRUSHING you're just having bad luck right now. Trust me, I know, I'm also 100+ BI below EV at micro stakes and it is disheartening. But with your winrate you just need to keep playing lol

My starting bankroll was $50

I have 54k FPP's left, and i did make a small withdrawal earlier this year ($2-300 iirc), but if i lost the $450, i'd still barely have enough of a roll for PLO10 if i cashed the FPP's in, and to have spent 9 months and hardly got anywhere, especially when i don't see my long term future in poker, isn't very motivating for me to continue.

Switch to eurosites with solid RB or get staked and get rewarded for your efforts. Your winrate implies you have solid skills to beat PLO100 easily.
