i use 600bb stop-loss now that i play the ante tables and i'm very happy with it.
i certainly admire people who can drop 500-1000bb and continue to play without any negative effect b the recently lost $$.
i can't do it and therefore i have a 30min cool-off period set after the stop-loss triggers

For the love of god bet last 30 cents on river in case he has 679T or some other J or Q high hand that he could possibly fold. You could also get him off chop if he has 4679 3679 or 2679. Ideally I'd like to have at least a few bucks left, but this is still hugely profitable spot to make desperation bluff against a fish. Granted, he's probably not folding any hand for 30cents with that much in pot, but it's at least possible or he could misclick or timeout whatever so def hugely +ev to stick it in.

Just witnessed a 1-tabling 80/50/27% win 2000bb in 120 hands at PLO25. I was impressed.

Here's the only hand I managed to win vs him. Never seen someone so bad, and never seen someone with such God-mode turned on. Deadly combo.

Just finished one of the most swingy PLO20 HU sessions ever.. total game-time of today = 12 hours..

Started the day with a session, booked 30$ win in 30 minutes, then went to eat some breakfast.

Booted up the tables again, ran really bad and went down 3 BI, in the middle of this my friend dropped by and I had to quit the session ... Went around, had a beer, some food then back to grinding again. BOOM 4 bi downswing... climbed back up to unstuck.. then sonic boom, 6 buyins down.. this was after hours of endless grinding HU, waiting for action etc.. I was now down 100 for that session, so total down 125 or someth for the day.. grrahhh.. I felt i'd give it one last shot and wupti boom, 10 minutes later I had just raped 2 regs. I dont know if they were drunk (probably, since one shoved K high hand no draw other than a runner runner, which he didnt hit). and I was in the black for that killer session..

Anyways. I dont know if this makes sense, im so tired I cant even remember what I just wrote.

cliff: was down alot, EV says I should be up $160, but im down $-25 for today. 12 hours of grinding, kill me now.

At least I made 120$ in rb, so it actually puts me in the green for nearly a hundroooood .

I only moved across to play PLO this month, if you guys tell me that this is standard and happens very regularly then how the hell do you keep your sanity?

I've only played 2000 hands and am already 4 buyins below ev ffs.

Both are tuff beats indeed but there are differences between them. On the 1st one you both have your hands locked meaning that your kickers don't matter so the hand is basically a holdem hand. In other words, this could and will happen with the same frequency both at NLHE and PLO.

The second one is a typical PLO beat where villain is playing with 2 cards and suddenly coming from nowhere he makes a runner runner with his kickers.

So to answering your question

Yes this is pretty much standard. The good part is that sometimes it wil be the other way around.
