Every thread on the Omaha sub-forum is awesome. We love the great game of four card. But some threads create a lot of confusion when the effective stacks are way below 100bb. You are likely to get 30bb advice and 100bb advice. It is going to be up to you to sift through it all and isolate what is most important and useful. Give me a moment to get some coffee and clear my head, then I will post something for 30bb, 100bb or both.

I'm only 30bbs this hand and I hope each reader can clearly see that.

Yeah. The problem is as I was saying, most people around here are masters of 100bb or are working on mastering 100bb poker. Even trying to learn 30bb is of no interest to them. And some go so far as to hate short stackers.

I've spent the last 30 minutes trying to wrap my head around anything interesting here and no matter the stack size I'm finding it hard to find a call on a paired flop with only the nut flush draw.

Regardless the stack size, when the CO open raises preflop and you are on the BB you can 3bet about 6% and defend about 20-25%. Your BB defend looks fine. But you are hoping to hit better than just a flush draw on a high paired flop to keep on going with the hand even though the CO cbet small.

I assume if you had relevant reads you would have provided them.

I think you have multiple options at multiple spots along the path of this hand and other streets are of much interest, but on the river I call. You need to call some rivers and your hand is better than most bluff catchers you will arrive to the river with in this way. You are probably at the top of your range here.

I also assume at PLO600 most villains are very capable of following through on a triple barrel, and also think villain should be jamming A LOT of hands (aces) in this spot.
  • 3b! preflop is a valid option (I guess not at 30bb)
  • xr flop is a valid option
  • after cc flop leading turn is a valid option
  • xr turn is a valid (spicy) option @ 30bb edit: I like this best at this stack size honestly, if I didn't xr flop, and I probably wouldn't find that

We have zero sd value so c/r flop is our best option. CO is probably c-betting range so we're doing ok, just make sure your sizing allows you to fold if CO goes all-in. As played think we have to fold river, one of those spots where we'd rather have trips than a straight.

C/c turn is the option I like the least. I c/jam or c/f, most likely jam.

I think you played it perfectly and obviously I am snapping the river expecting to be good like 90% of the time after flop and especially turn sizing.

Don’t like check raising this board at any point tbh, might work this time but it’s got to be -ev vs pool 2 barrels on AAx?
