Pretty boring line check spot here...just want to here how many would/would not fire here.

I'd been getting absolute garbage and folding basically every hand for ages and hadn't raised once since I sat down. I thought that if I raised this hand they would almost definitely put me on Aces. Comments on flop check as well as turn decision welcome. FWIW, I had only ever been betting pot at this table so suggestions to half/two-third pot may not be perfect as this bet size might been seen as suspicious by my opponents, especially if they have an ace.

I like a bet here, even if you have only been betting pot they will probably still assume your trying to squeese value from you "obvious" top set so 2/3 pot is fine IMO...

Flop bet isn't horrendous but I like check better, pot turn. You're very unlikely to get called and if you do, two pair is probably gonna pay off 1/2 pot on the river if you hit.

A good spot to bet if your willing to bet most rivers.

Bet something like $17.50 on turn ,obv fold to raise, the only hands which can continue are fd+str8 draw type hands, bet river when draw misses, or bet fold/check fold if the draw hits, bet 3/4 pot if u make your hand..etc..

bet the flop give up from there if you brick the turn... slow playing the flop, they will give you no respect imo and it just doesn't make sense to me.

Does anyone else think betting the flop is the way to go? I was worried I'll either get called by hands I'm behind or draws that crush me, but perhaps I would pick up the pot enough to make it worthwhile. Can I call a c/r all-in?

Also, does anyone else agree that to rep Aces I need to bet the flop? I think at this level I can still rep them: people will just think I had scared Aces on the flop.

i think you should be just trying to win the pot on the flop there and then. alot of the times when theycheck call the flop they will be playing there hand transperent enough. vs a bad player where you can just bet a second barrell to show a profit

If I bet and get one caller pot will be around 60. Given stack sizes I doubt there are any hands that call the flop then fold the turn, except perhaps if the 2d comes and they had a straight+flush draw only or something.

I still think it's worthwhile thinking about betting the flop but. I'm not certain I did the right thing.

my only concern would be that the pot is 4 ways. even so i think your ev is way to much to pass up a bluff on this flop with some ev. even if you get called your going to be able to play the turn pretty well most of the time. wtf noones smooth call a set multi way on the floop or better. anyone who calls your bet on the flop is begging for a passively played pot. the turn is a whole different situation imo.

nah im wasted too.noone gives a ****. its forum for a reason. double barrelling the turn gets a little trickeir. i would lean towards double barrelling in this spot depending on history of course.
