Party Poker $25 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 6 players
2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked

BB: $9.93
UTG: $22.41
MP: $25.80
CO: $21.11
Hero (BTN): $63.49
SB: $72.07

Pre Flop: Hero is BTN with 9 7 T 8
UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, CO calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1.35, SB raises to $4.80, 3 folds, Hero...?

Villain and I played some 3bet pots against each other. No hands were shown down so far. I won both pots by, what I thought, was bluffing.

Do I 4bet here preflop given that we are more than 250BBs deep?
Or do I just call? What do I do on flops I completely miss?

This is not a 4 bet. You're a fairly big dog to AA, and I think 3betting out of the SB veers his range to AA. 4betting is the best thing for him. If you don't connect with the flop and he leads out you should fold..

Big dog to AA? If he has a naked, uncoordinated rainbow AA I think it's really close to a flip and you should 4-bet so you can get it all in on flop when you hit.

I also don't mind getting it in preflop with this strong of a hand, especially at 6-max wooooooah party poker

Errr if you 4bet here and he happens to have aces, isnt he always going to 5bet it? Call and see a flop imo.

call or 4-bet small is probably best.

at worst you're 41% dog to AAxx. normally you're more like a 45% dog. given that you're so deep,

i like a call in order to see if you can hit the flop big. if you hit it big you can possibly win a decent sized pot, and if not you have position so you can take the pot away from him cause you kind of know he has AAxx and you can bet he's not gonna be willing to get it AI postflop with AAxx 250 bbs deep, so you can exploit this with your positional advantage.

4bet is def. an interesting option. If you 4bet to rep AAxx and he calls, you can steal a ton of flops where you don't hit (e.g. Axx boards, dry boards, etc.), and you will get paid off big when you do hit.

Big dog is relative of course, but it is a bad spot against aces, and there's no reason you should assume he has uncoordinated rainbow AA.

I don't see how we're going to make a small 4-bet without getting 5-betted. So the question is if it's a profitable strategy to call a 5bet and then jam on any pair or draw or better... I think probably not.

With the two limpers juicing the pot, we're really nowhere near as deep as it looks like we are. 4-betting allows villain to get over 2/3 of the effective stacks in. Just call and jam favorable flops.

+1, and if the flop isn't ace high you can probably take the pot away from him on the turn if its even semi-dangerous
