Full Tilt Poker $0.25/$0.50 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 6 players

UTG: $50.00
MP: $120.05
Hero (CO): $50.00
BTN: $75.65
SB: $80.00
BB: $113.75

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is CO with J 7 Q A
2 folds, Hero raises to $1.75, BTN calls $1.75, SB calls $1.50, BB calls $1.25

Flop: ($7.00) 7 5 Q (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $5.50, BTN raises to $18, SB folds, BB folds, Hero requests TIME, Hero folds

too weak? villain was 68/4 over 20 hands and hadn't done anything really. short sample but I figured he's a loose passive and my hand doesn't do well given that.

here's another one that felt weak but I didn't know what to do, so just folded. betting for value is kind of thin and playing further streets will be hard, especially if I'm OOP
is this also a bet/fold spot??
BTN was aggro 50/18/ 7 3bet, BB is loose passive 77/5
thanks

Hand 1 I shove all day long

Hand 2 I cbet and fold to a raise but if flatted I would def bet $14 on the turn then check and prob call river vs most.

even against loose passive types? I guess they could confuse worse two pair for the nuts but in my experience they flat a huge % of their continuing range.

I think the 2nd one might just be a result of being too tired which makes me more passive, but in hindsight I think its still close

even loose passives are raising hand that look pretty like two pair with a FD or straight draw and FD. I mean they have to be raising nothing but sets (unlikely for obv blocker reasons) for it to be a fold right?

2nd one - loose passives are flatting loads of queens, overpairs, straight draws, flush draws, random gutshot crap and not really bluffing much when they miss, which seems to be like the dream scenario really.

Hand1 - shouldnt be discounted that BTN chose to reopen the betting 150bbs deep with the 2 blinds behind him that have him covered. Despite us having set blockers we're gonna get shown QQxx here way more often than wed like imo. If it was 3 handed or the blinds were both shorties and action was the same I think b/fing would be giving away too much. But in this spot i think its ok.

Hand2 - as played is fine as lagy BTN is gonna be making our life miserable when we're forced to check a lot of turn or rivers

Oh so you really had Q7.

I would ship it in but i don't mind bet folding either since you will rarely be against a worse two pair but mostly sets and pair + FD type of hands which you are flipping with.

Thoughts on check/calling instead of bet/folding if we are never bet/calling this flop?

This is going to sound dumb, but Hand 1 is one of those spots where you gotta go with your read and your gut. I agree with your read that passive players are rarely spazzing out without strong hands...

Hand 2 def bet the flop.
