I strongly considered folding before putting the call-raise shove on the flop. Should I have folded in this spot or was shoving correct?

Obviously I was ahead at the time I made the shove, but we all know that in PLO being ahead doesn't mean being favored.

[Edit:] I should add, this was my first hand at the table, and my first hand ever played with the villain, so no stats on him at all.

Alright, results removed. (sorry, newish here)

Thanks though, that was kind of what I was thinking. For some reason I was putting him on the nut flush draw and nothing else so I thought a paired board would take it down for me. I should know better then to try and read people I've never played a hand with before though

Raise SB small to see what happens, any aggression hen sigh and fold. If it is called around then any non heart, T, J, K, 8 jam it in (thats alot of bloody cards ftl), If only SB calls then we can raise alot more often

I really don't like to stack off here at all. In best case scenario we are 60% favorite and more often than that we are absolutely crushed. I would like a small raise on the flop also and then would fold to any further action.

dont raise flop as people will shove light on such a draw-heavy board. flop call is good but fold to the utg raise without reads.
