Hey guys,

lil help with this hand please, absolutely lost with this river decision. No stats or reads, just sat down and i've just moved up levels.

Every option seemed a bit ugh to me on the river, potting seems spewy, no worse will call, bet folding seems spewy as the pots already so big, check folding seems so weak and I feel im value towning myself by check calling.

Anyway what are peoples preffered lines in these situations? Had a few similar hands recently and I feel so lost. I'm sure it's a fairly standard hand but anyway.

Can't find the HH so apologies.

Hero (BB): $22.30
UTG: $30.72
UTG+1: $65.36
CO: $19.40
Button: $24.87
SB $19.55

Dealt to Hero : A975

1 fold, utg +1 raise to .40c, 1 fold, button call, sb calls, hero calls. ($1.60)

So it's 4 to the flop of: 1086($1.60)

SB check, Hero bets $1.60, utg folds, utg +1 calls, sb Folds.

HU to the turn. 10864 ($4.80)

Hero bets $4.80 utg + 1 calls $4.80

River 10864J ($14.40)

Hero???????

Hope this isn't too hard to read, I know how much of a pain in the ass it is to look over non converted HH's.

I like a 2/3 pot bet or so. You're only behind one hand, and you might make him fold a chop if he's nitty. A lower bet might also get a call from two pair, a set, or the lower straight.

It sucks that you don't have a read. Some opponents can't resist bluffing a river like that, and their betting range is wider than their calling.

Meh i c/c psb , dunno how i feel about it still. I've seen a lot of people calling down with sets/2 pairs on straightening boards, hoping to fill up. Didn't really think he'd call with worse so decided to bluffcatch,, unfortunately though he did indeed have JJQ9.
