Seems like a fairly easy fold. Most missed hearts are combodraws, so it is likely he has JT with hearts, also could've flatted 86. It's unlikely he is calling flop+turn with any strong made hand he feels he has to bluff on the river. So you basically hope he has something like AA87hh or 75**hh.

I bet myself river 100% here and I fold preflop to the 3bet. As played I probably call off but Im not happy about it. Folding wouldnt be that bad I believe...

I would crai on the turn, but if I bet I would just pot it, given the SPR there is no deception in betting less and you are only giving draws better odds to suck out.

at first i thought we had just Q9 for 2 pair, then i saw we had a set so it makes calling even easier.

Just a short question: Do you lead out VERY often on "scary" flops ? If so then you need to balance your range of course and leading out is fine, but even if you only do it every now and then a check raise seems pretty sexy to me on this board.

^^ yeah obv i mix it up on these boards, i thought villain would check behind with a lot of his range here which is why i went for the lead on this occasion.

to those saying shove river, yea thats what i do like 90% of the time here hoping for a hero call not really sure why i checked, then when he bets it just feels like there not much else he can have unless he's turning a hand with relative sd value into a bluff.

I think shove>c/fold>c/call here, but I kind of feel like [shove and c/fold]>>>c/call by a much larger margin than shove>c/fold. I don't think he has a ton of weak hands here, but he has even less that don't have enough showdown value to check, especially by the fact that we aren't often checking to induce with a nut hand here. I also doubt he decides to value-bet weaker here since we look like we're almost always c/folding junk and occasionally c/snapping with a weirdly played nut hand, but we shouldn't have much of a c/call range that isn't the nuts, right? I feel like if villain saw our hand, he would think we are c/folding it when we check the river. Maybe I'm wrong here, (and I probably din't articulate it very well), but I think c/calling is the worse option by far. I want to fold now.

c/c is worst for sure... leading is fine. No nead to believe he has us beat. He is raising 86 on the turn 100% and even though he might have JT he is not folding lots of twopairs here!

Im confused by river check. Go allin! As played I guess call.

the more i actually think about it check calling is the best option, it makes villan turn his set and 2 pair hands into a bluff.

And yes, villan senses your huge weakness by checking the river and so he just shoves it... getting 3:1 if i had to guess this is still a breakeven play.

Its close... imo, interesting spot i would like to hear more responses as well.

Why should he fold twopairs and esp. SETS into bluffs? Why should he think that we are going to c/f with higher sets than he has on the river?

thinking villain turns sets or 2 pairs into bluffs seems insane to me.

villain might bet sets for value, but never ever as a bluff. and would prob insta check most 2 pairs. no fe vs the range villain wants to fold out.

but yeah, fyl OP it's close tho either way , betting sounds like the way to go, he's calling off a decent amount.
