people giving bad advice here on purpose 
? i think if we check the turn it is to turn the hand into a bluff on the river. what do we beat here exactly? well aa without spades i guess, but then again we have and ace (non-spade) in our hand.

Check behind, he has an enormous number of combos with the A and your weak stab here is giving him the perfect opportunity to outplay you. I think flop flat is fine though.
It's much harder to run a bare Ace bluff on the river because you check behind turn with all sorts of hands you want to show down like any flush you want one, not two bets in with and the King high straight.
